Many things.
1. No it's not abandoned 2. All votes should be PM-ed unless stated in that specific entry 3. Please remove the double post 4. Congrats on 250 posts 5. You can only vote to speak to one cat, not a sequence 6. The voting already took place and I was already writing the entry as it said in my latest post 7. I just finished the entry and I will be posting it soon

You decide to talk to Thorntail. After all your old mentor is injured right now and would probably like some company, not to mention you haven't yet thanked him for backing you up when you were about to be exiled. You pad back to the medicine cat den, and sit down beside your old mentor after treating Swallowfrost's bite. They were the only two warriors left with a wound, and even those wounds were healing well. As you rub a poultice of dock, goldenrod, and dried oak leaves, and secure it with fresh cobwebs, you begin to speak.
"I just wanted to thank you by the way, for standing up for me a while ago, when I was going to be exiled. I know I wasn't...the best apprentice you've ever had, and I'm incredibly grateful to you for not letting that stop you from helping me." You look at him as you finish, both with your words and the wound, and Thorntail grunts.
"You may not have been my best apprentice, but you weren't my worst either. Besides, it's not like I had much of a choice." You tilt your head in confusion.
"What do you mean? Of course you had a choice. Honestly given my behavior and the evidence, I would have thought the choice would have been obvious in the opposite direction. Why did you take my side? Why...why did you trust me?" Thorntail laughs.
"Oh Stormpaw, I didn't trust you. The fact was, and is that I have two main values in life: loyalty and justice. At that moment, I didn't have to trust you as a cat to remember that you were my clanmate, and I should give you the benefit of the doubt. Not to mention that whether or not I did have doubts about you, your guilt hadn't been proven, just hinted at. I gave the clan, including myself a chance to view all of the possibilities and make sure we chose the right cat to punish. It really had nothing to do with you. It had everything to do with me." You draw back.
"Oh, I suppose that...makes sense." Thorntail looks at you, his gaze turning more into a genuine smile than amusement.
"However, I'm glad I did. Not only has the clan benefitted greatly from your skill, and will likely continue to do so, but you are an amazing and unique cat. You are careful, kind, a hard worker, and if your fighting prowess...or lack thereof is any indication, you're selfless beyond measure. You care about other's lives far above your own, to the point that you won't even hurt them if you are in danger. You are a good cat." You look at him, beginning to smile with him. Thorntail...thinks you're a good cat? How is that even possible? You dip your head in thanks and embarrassment, your cheeks quickly turning red.
"Well...that's enough about me. What were you like when you were young?" You meow hastily, realizing a moment later that it would actually be a nice thing to know. Thorntail pauses, considering the question.
"I was far more...reckless as an apprentice. I would constantly sneak out at night to go hunt or battle train, trying to earn praise from my mentor, and the clan. It was despicable. I didn't want to help my clan, I only wanted to get praise and influence. I wanted everyone to be proud of me, and look up to me. I...had two siblings, both toms as I was. Pinepaw and Molepaw. They weren't all that competitive, but I was. Unfortunately for me, they were both good without even trying, and I, trying every day to be as good as them...better than them still couldn't do it. Molepaw was a master fisher. Every day he would bring back so much prey that the clan might as well have let him hunt alone while the rest of us watched. Pinepaw was an excellent fighter. He could take on warriors and still beat them to a crisp! Honestly...my view may be skewed a little. As competitive as I was, I only saw that they were better than me, not the reality of how much better. Either way, it lead to me making some...poor choices I would rather not get into. One day, my mentor finally sat me down and asked me what was wrong. Why had I been doing this? I told her, and she said something I'll never forget. She said 'Sure Pinepaw is good at fighting, and Molepaw is great at fishing, but have you ever stopped to think what you are? They are only good at their specialties. You are good at both. You can have balance, and use that balance to better yourself and the world. You aren't forced into a one sided view of things. You can choose who you want to be. Not everyone has that gift.' At that moment, I decided to truly consider what I wanted to be. I knew loyalty came first, as looking back at my actions I wanted to work for my clan instead of for myself. As for justice, that came from the effects of my poor choices. I knew that no one should get away with something they need to be punished for, and I knew that no one should be punished for something they didn't do. Finally, I decided I wanted to be a mentor. That part came mostly from my mentor. I wanted to live up to her and teach others what she taught me. I wanted to prove I was skilled in everything enough to demonstrate the skills only Riverclan has for all of the next generation." He looks back at you as you stare in awe.
"That's...a beautiful story." You reply after a minute. "Although I must wonder why you thought being a tough mentor was the way to go. From your story it sounds like the better way to uphold her image would be to be a kind, gentle mentor who pays careful attention to their apprentice and helps them in times of turmoil." Thorntail dips his head.
"That's what I thought too, at first. The fact is, not every cat is the same, and not every cat will take well to the life lessons told through a speech. I've taught many apprentices now, and I can tell you each and every one of them has had issues in their life. Some learned through punishments, some followed the rules from the start. Some needed private, emotional guidance while others needed to fall a few times before figuring out jumping off a cliff isn't a good idea. I start out with no judgements. On the first day, I treat my apprentice as I would treat a strange warrior, not getting too close or too far, but making sure I watch. After a time, I learn about them enough to make a judgement on what would help them. On the first day of your training, I could already tell you didn't really want to be an apprentice, or a warrior apprentice as it turned out. I wanted to show you that, hard as the truth may be, your time as a kit was over. You needed to fall to gain a passion for your clan, which you would have if I had been correct in my judgment. You hid your underlying desires very well, although I probably would have figured it out eventually if you didn't leave me on the first day." You are about to apologize when you realize his eyes are brimming with amusement. Then you laugh.
"Well, thank you for that Thorntail, and for everything. I imagine my life here would have started a lot rockier if you weren't there as my mentor. I do have one more thing to ask before I go." Thorntail dips his head as you finish your words.
"Of course, what do you need." You take a deep breath, wondering how to explain this.
"In...more than likely nine sunrises, your scratch will be healed enough for you to go back to your warrior duties. In other words, you will once again be the mentor of my sister." You pause, remembering the last two times you've spoken to your sister, and how mad and upset she was. "I haven't had the best possible relationship with her lately, and everything I try to do to help her seems to only make it worse so...could you look after her?" You decide not to tell him about your suspicions that she didn't take part in the sunningrocks battle. That would only make things worse and create unnessisary drama, at least until you can find out why she did it. The whole battle seemed to be a very touchy subject for her, so you're not sure Thorntail bringing it up would give him the best chance at becoming her friend. That's what she really needs right now: a friend. Thorntail looks at you, his eyes softening and he nods.
"Of course I will. I'll look out for her, and makes sure she finds a place she can be proud of in the clan." You smile.
"Thank you Thorntail." Well, you can safely say that you have a friend in the clan. Mind you, you already knew Thorntail a little before this, so maybe trying to make some other friends would be good too?
Who do you speak to?
1. Minnowstar 2. Dawncloud (your mother) 3. Stonepelt (your father) 4. Grasskit And His Siblings 5. Lilypaw and Redpaw

You decide to talk to Lilypaw and Redpaw. After all, they are apprentices just like you, and sleep in the same day as Ripplepaw, so you have that point of connection. You pad out of the medicine cat den to find that the apprentices and their mentors are returning home from training. Ripplepaw, seeing you, immediately takes a vole and pointedly walks behind the apprentice den. Lilypaw and Redpaw say thanks to their mentors and head over to the fresh-kill pile. You quickly go too.
"Hello Lilypaw, Redpaw." you meow a little nervously.
"Hey Stormpaw. Is there something you need?" Lilypaw asks you. You quickly shake your head.
"No I was just...well I was wondering if we could talk?" Redpaw dips his head to you and flicks his tail at a rabbit.
"You can share this with us. It will be better to talk over a meal and I'll finally be able to have some rabbit again if I'm sharing it." he smiles, licking his lips as you and Lilypaw laugh. You pick up the rabbit and carry it over to a corner of the clearing near the apprentice den, where it seems Lilypaw and Redpaw eat most nights.
"So, has there been a prophecy, or some sort of disagreement you need to sort out?" Lilypaw meows after a few bites.
"No, no. Why would you think that?" You reply quickly. Lilypaw shrugs.
"It's just, I never see you out of the medicine cat den unless your collecting herbs or dealing with something serious. I suppose I never expected you to just...talk." Lilypaw hesitates, but Redpaw nods slowly. You begin to feel hot.
"Well yes...I haven't been out much. I'd like to make up for that. Would you mind just...chatting a little?" Redpaw nods.
"Sure. Why not? Everyone deserves a few friends." You smile in thanks and take another bite of the rabbit before speaking again.
"I'm not... exactly sure what to talk about." Redpaw laughs, and Lilypaw flicks his ear with her tail before replying.
"There's nothing to laugh about. Stormpaw, how is your training going?" You pause, trying to think. How can you explain anything you've been doing if you don't talk about Brambleberry? You could pretty easily come up with a lie, but that wouldn't be a great way to start off the friendship. You could just avoid the topic all together and change the question, but that could make you look suspicious.
What do you do?
1.) Tell them all about your training with Brambleberry 2.) Lie about most of your training 3.) Change the Topic
Sorry this one was so short. I planned to get more into the talk but I realized I did have something Stormpaw couldn't decide on by themselves, as it is a big, and recurring problem in their story.

Editing time "You quickly go to." - *too "phrophecy" - I feel like I don't have to explain this one. "[...]rabbit before speaking again. "I'm not[...]" - Making new paragraphs each quotation mark instead of each switch of characters again I see Okay, now to start on my vote...

So DimLight, you chose to tell them, and troubled decided on option 4, to 'small talk them back' which would basically consist of giving a vague answer like "It's going great." You may debate amongst yourselves now.

Lol, direct quote from it. Well, I guess I'll just give the copy/paste of my vote submission to open things up: This vote is quite the conundrum. Mainly because based on how much we know about Lilypaw and Redpaw, we can't exactly trust them with a secret. Admitably, we've been more secretive about this whole thing than it really needs to be, to the point we've forgotten who knows and who doesn't (I believe we told the other Medicine cats about Brambleberry at the gathering, yet we'd forgotten about that, and felt the need to have Brambleberry not go down into the Moonpool because the other Medicine cats will see him). Looking at the statement closely, it seems like it was more of a casual small talk remark, in response to our lack of subject material to talk about. Lilypaw is just asking the question because it's a common small talk apprentice question for getting caught up with one another, so I don't think there's enough content to suggest Lilypaw is particular mentally invested enough to be asking this question because of the fact we don't have a 'proper' mentor.* So, I'm going to vote for option number '4: Small talk them back' (read above if you don't understand) - This is just for a 'less severe' circumstance. And if this does happen, don't you dare small talk our Stormy into a lie! If their interests pique on the specifics of our training, I'm fine doing that, this is more of a 'gently avoid, yet can easily transition to truth' kinda thing. Although if they can't keep a secret to themselves, and we do end up telling them, we might be in some big trouble...** * - The more I think through this all- Why exactly do we absolutely need to keep this whole thing a secret. I know it would further harm our relationship with **Ripplepaw, with her whole 'I'm in your shadow' mindset - and very possibly could be true - but other than that, everyone honestly knows already, with the whole "StarClan will be my mentor" thing when we took over as solo-Medicine cat. The only problem with the reveal with Ripplepaw, is the whole 'It's been confirmed!' uproar that it will cause.

Yeah honestly I don't really understand why people decided to keep it a secret in the end of it all, so I'm gonna be with you on that. Option 4 it is. And I mean hey, it might even go into more topics to talk about

Why? Does this choice completely derail what you were planning on happening? Or did you already write out all of the dialogue for each option just to have us chose a different option? Or did you feel like this isn't working and I'm still being handed votes in the longrun?

Ok, I think it's official. I get about 5-10 minutes of free time per day now because of my homework, fencing competitions, and the play. All of those will, for the most part be ending in the middle to end of March. Because of that, this choose your own adventure will be going on a hiatus. I'm not going to be gone forever, but I don't think I could write even a short entry in the time I've been getting, let alone what I need to write next.
