Hello everyon its fox I'd like to say, Slenderman and the new jersey devil are my fave myth/legend/urban legend...idk. But you know what I'm talkin' bout right? Well I plan on going on a Slendeman hunt soon so wish me luck. Why does this exsist? Tell me your fave! Or ask me about ones I'm in love with them. Loch ness monster though isn't my strong point. I'm a fan of the giant squid too(Its real, they found evidence) And the chubarcabra(or however its spelled). Hmm...and you can also state ones I don't know, I'm a proud myth hunter! So far I've tried hunting down a black dog with red eyes known around my town, sadly got nothing :l. So yea, call me stupid for believing like I care, its my free belief! (I don't believe in Aliens or Unicorns though so don't even try telling me about them ^_^ please)

Ogopogo :3
EDIT - Excerpt from a search result on Slenderman on google.ca
On June 8th, 2009, a “’paranormal pictures” photoshop contest was launched on the Something Awful (SA) forums.[1] The idea was to turn ordinary photographs into creepy-looking images through digital manipulation and then pass them on as authentic photographs on a number of paranormal forums. Something Awful users soon began sharing their faux-paranormal creations with layered images of ghosts and other anomalies, usually accompanied by a fabricated witness account to make them more convincing. On June 10th, SA user Victor Surge posted two black and white photographs of unnamed children with a short description of “Slender Man” as a mysterious creature who stalked children.[
On June 11th, 2009, Victor Surge continued to improve upon the myth by adding another picture and a fake doctor’s account.[3] The very first SA user to add onto Victor Surge’s myth was LeechCode5,[4] who posted a photograph of a burning building on the following day. On June 14th, SA goon TrenchMaul[6] also reused the Slender Man character for his own story. The original thread, which still remains active today, extends for 46 pages as of June 2011 ----------------
Sorry to burst your bubble (but hey atleast the Enderman in Minecraft is based off of him.
DOUBLE EDIT - Ogopogo or Naitaka is the name given to a cryptid lake monster reported to live in Okanagan Lake, in British Columbia, Canada. Ogopogo has been allegedly seen by First Nations people since the 19th century. The most common description of Ogopogo is a forty- to fifty-foot-long (12 to 15 m) sea serpent.
British cryptozoologist Karl Shuker has categorized the Ogopogo as a 'many hump' variety of lake monster, and suggested it may be a kind of primitive serpentine whale such as Basilosaurus. However, because the physical evidence for the beast is limited to unclear photographs and film, it has also been suggested that the sightings are misidentifications of common animals, such as otters, and inanimate objects, such as floating logs.
In 1926 a sighting is claimed to have occurred at an Okanagan Mission beach. This event was supposedly witnessed by about thirty cars of people who all claimed to have seen the same thing. In 1968 Art Folden filmed what is claimed to be footage of the alleged creature, showing a large wake moving across the water. A computer analysis of the footage concluded it was a solid, three-dimensional object. In 2011, a cell phone video captured two dark shapes in the water. A suggested explanation is that the video shows two logs.
The name "ogopogo" originates from a 1924 English music hall song called "The Ogo-Pogo: The Funny Fox-Trot", by Cumberland Clark and Mark Strong. Karl Shuker said about the song:
[T]he cover portrayed a boot-wearing, antenna-sporting, banjo-playing, pixie-like monster from Hindustan - all far removed indeed from Canada's serpentiform cryptid. Nevertheless, it was this very sheet music that had originated one of the most familiar of all modern-day cryptid nicknames (until then, the Lake Okanagan monster had been known only as the naitaka - a traditional native American name given to it by the local Okanakane tribe). - Via Wikipedia
