THE CLANS ORIGINATED IN THE LAKE!!!!!!!
So, I just finished reading Hollyleaf's Story. At the back, they have a preview of The Last Hope Prolouge. I read it, and this is a DIRECT quote from Rock: (Scene; Ancient cats & StarClan cats & Midnight all meet to disscuss a confusing mix of prophecies and such. Rock speaking to Bluestar and Spottedleaf and ither SC cats.)
"We saw your whole journey, from lake to forest and back."
You know what this means? THE CLANS ORIGINATED AT THE LAKE! *dies*

Umm........I read The Last Hope prologue in my e-book, and I think I read that quote, but why wasn't I surprised then?.....Maybe I read that as "from forest to lake." I think the erins made that quote to make the fifth series more interesting. Just my guess.

Not all of the clan cats came from the lake, but A lot of them would have. It mentions in secrets of the clans (I think) that some were loners, and some were kitty pets.
I think at some point during on e of the field guides it says that there were three tribes, one that started in the mountains and went to the lake and the mountains again, which was the tribe of rushing water; the other must have been a very large portion of the original clan cats; not sure about the other tribe, they could have just died out or banded into one or more of the other two.

I just re-ead all the field gudies and they never mentioned three tribes at all . . .
My theory: Clans lived at lake, somethin' made 'em leave, traveled to forest, broke up, came together again, traveled back to lake.

No, I’m sure in secrets of the clans there was a bit from stone tellers perspective, where he talks about going to the Moonpool (Which Fish Leap called the Pool of Stars in Eclipse), and about the the tribes.
But, yeah, good theory. Like what happened with SkyClan, some becoming kitty pets, loners, rogues, and then a lot of them coming back to the clan.

Wing: Now I remember. Rock only mentioned once that he would meet every moon with the other two tribe healers at the Pool of Stars (suggesting there were three tribes) but nothing more than that.

Is it just my thinking or didn't they already reveal/imply this if not explicitly state it? SPOILER With the whole ancient cats storyline etc of how they started at the lake, and eventually cats from there journeyed away to places like the mountains and other forest. Could be just me drawing a premature conclusion before having it confirmd in TLH
