@mod: Mousefur was my favorite charrie. She was already a senior warrior when Firestar first joined TC. dawn: Yeah, I have. Why?

I loved Mousefur. I don't think she lived 'too long'... I mean, she became an elder fairly quickly. She's been in... eldership for a while. Dustpelt's lived forever. So has Sandstorm. They're extremely old.

Mousefur is older then Sandstorm, Greystripe, Longtail, and Spiderleg.
EDIT - At Mousefur's death she was approx 120 moons (10 yrs) according to the warriors wiki which is extremely old for a wild cat, where as Longtail though his age unknown is not mentioned by the time Mousefur is mentioned in Bluestar's Prophecy infact he is not even credited as living during it on the wiki, also Sandstorm is 96 moons old (approx 8 yrs) according to warrior wiki and since Firestar and Greystripe are also of similiar age (96 moons maybe differing by a few days) Mousefur is the eldest of all cats mentioned (And Spiderleg is just turning grey so....)
In conclusion Mousefur was way to old and should have died long ago (why did Firestar have to die at 8 when Mousefur lived to 10?)

The whole thing is, though, Mousefur went to the Elder's Den. And, none of Firestar's lives were lost due to natural causes, and Dustpelt, Sandstorm, and Graystripe haven't showed any signs of going to the elder's den. If 10 is extremely old for a wild cat, then they should have retired long ago.

So a tree falling RIGHT at that time is consitered.......natural Trees fall all the time in my area when there is a thunderstorm (better chances because i live across street from a valley) sometimes some unfortunate animals are killed or injured because they are trapped in the wrong place at the wrong time so yes i think that could have been natural.
