Training Grounds (subquest)
Requirements:
- Must complete "Speed over Strength".
First talk to Sandstorm at the northern part of camp, just outside the hallway that leads the the leader's den. She will say that Leafpool wanted you so go and talk to her in the medicine cat's den.
She'll say that you need to tell the medicine cats from all the Clans to meet her at the neutral grounds by the island for gatherings. The medicine cats will be waiting either inside or outside their camps. However, if you want to get to RiverClan through the neutral grounds passage, you won't be able to because Leafpool will be blocking the way and you can't go back. Once you tell all the medicine cats about the meeting, head to the neutral grounds and talk to Barkface. He will tell you that the medicine cats have noticed an herb-rich field that they want to investigate. He tells you to meet him by the entrance to the mountains.
Once you're there, talk to Barkface again. He'll say that the field was observed on a grassier part of the mountains. He asks if you know where it is. If you say no, he'll say that it's southeast of the Tribe of Rushing Water, on the lowest part of the mountains. But if you go now he won't be there so talk to him again and this time say yes.
He'll disappear somewhere. Go all the way through the snowy mountains until you reach the first cliff of the mountains that isn't snowy. Barkface should be waiting by an the gray log entrance on the east side of the map. He'll say that the field is just past the two logs, but he doesn't know what awaits you there. Go through.
The next map is rogue-free (yay!) but has no other use (that I know of) except for the training course. Head past the log on the very east side of the map. It'll ask if you want to attempt the course. Say yes. You have twenty minutes to complete it. Save before entering.
It isn't that hard and it doesn't require that much time to play. There are a few mini-bosses in it, though. One is a black cat fighting alongside four cats - all highly skilled. Next is six highly skilled cats. Afterward is kinda funny because there are a bunch of black-and-white cats who try to chase and block your path. If you get trapped you have to quit the game.
After you escape the group of black-and-white cats, find your way through through the river. Then you need to fight the black skilled cat and five highly skilled cats (I think; I haven't played the subquest in a while). When you finish that mini-boss, continue up and towards the left, right below the edge of the cliff. Then climb up the stairs and jump over the rock.
Go outside and talk to Barkface, who will congratulate you.
Rewards:
- You can now train at the training grounds three hours of gameplay at a time.
I forgot some parts of it because it's been a while since I played it, but hope this helps with anyone stuck on it!
