Help. Just... help. Please.

[STARCLAN SAVE ME PLEASE HELP]

So, today I went to the computer to play New Prophecy, so I opened the game file, and the main menu showed up like normally. But when I chosed, 'continue'... I GOT THIS MESSAGE:

Script 'Window_SaveFile' line 28: TypeError occured.

incompatible marshal file format (can't be read)
format version 4.8 required; 0.0 given

What should I do?!?!?!? I'm almost finished the whole game; I've got the best party ever, all are equipped with Divine Claws, all have 9999 HP and SP and 999 AGI!!!!! I can't lose another game to this stupid computer!!!! So, PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's been happening to the first game on my laptop.....no clue why its happening.

This is why you backup your save every so often It may be corrupted. Do you have any recent save before it? Another thing to try is rename it as a new save (ex. Save4 instead of Save1) and try it, and it might help to try it on another computer. Feel free to post agian and ask for more help/tell what happened.

For me when I opened up the game, it's okay. Then I play start game and then it says it doesn't work. And it pauses.

Thanks, we figured out the problem. Save3 was a corrupted file, and we had to delete it to get the game working again. I'm so relieved there wasn't a problem with the game! Even though I'm still a bit sad for having to delete Save3, because I had nearly completed the whole game... But luckily I had almost the same progress in Save2, so I just played it on to get to the point (and past it) where Save3 got corrupted. Bye, I'm going to play the game now! ;D

Glad to hear you got things worked out. I'd recommend occasionaly making backups of any saves you consider valuable in case they get corrupted.
