I noticed something. And before you ask, no it is not a major inconsistency.
In the Erin Hunter chats 7 and 8, Victoria Holmes said that the history of the ancients and the tribe and clans would be gone into in the late books of Oots. No doubt that part of this has already been told in the form of SoTM, but she said a few times that it would also go into the ancient history of the clans and how the clans, tribe and ancients are connected.
I would really love this, but I see one problem. There is one more book left in the series before we go back decades and decades to when the clans first began, so how could the Erins fit the whole big battle with the dark forest, the history of the clans and the true and the ancients, figuring out who the fourth is, and all the cute little bits in between into a three hundred page book.
My theory is that either they go into it but put a lot of the details into either the Dawn of the Clans series or some sort of field guide, or that everything with the dark forest and the battle and finding peace and the fourth et cetera is tied very closely with the history. Maybe the fourth is some cat from the past, or maybe the three have to listen to the cats they were reincarnated from (Jay’s wing, Lion’s roar, Dove’s wing) and learn some integral fact that keeps the clans together at some crucial point or . . . well you get the point.
There is something tied in from the past with the whole battle thing, and they will have to be explained together. That is what I think will have to happen, or it wouldn’t fit into the book.

Hollyleaf is the fourth i think that was confirmed (do not quote me on it though) and maybe since it is the last book (in foreseable future) of the modern clans it could be like a super edition but part of the main series? (500 page Last Hope anyone?)

I just checked the harpercollins website, and it says that TLH is 384 pages, so it’s bigger than most of the other books, which makes sense.
No, the reins confirmed that hollyleaf has no power and was the forgotten warrior, not that she was the fourth. Anyway, it would be a bit stupid if after all hollyleaf went through and thinks now that someone would come up and say, ‘um yeah, sorry, but you ARE in the prophecy after all’.
