What does everyone think about a hunger and thirst system in video games? Do you think it's a good thing to have, or is it just a burden? (Just curious cause I'm deciding if I should put it in a game or not)

I like them, although I'm probably not the best person to ask because my experience with games of that sort is basically limited to Minecraft. XD
