Doctor Who. (Having not watched Sherlock, obvious choice. Sherlock's probably pretty good, though, considering Steven Moffat writes for both shows.)

Harry Potter. I actually don't enjoy LotR all that much. It's a good story and very well-written, but a bit hard for me to get through.

Ouran High School Host Club is like a drama/funny genre.
