"A rouge!" The loud snarl splits the forest silence, like the sudden strike of lightning in a night sky, or the howl of a lone wolf on a cold, bleak day. You freeze, every muscle in your body stiff in surprise at the new voice. It's owner, a gray and black patched cat, is only fox-lengths away, eyes ablaze at the fact you crossed the border. Their claws unsheathe, tensing for an attack from you. So these cats were aggressive. No matter, you can hold you own against a single cat.
Then three more cats join the first, their mottled brown and gray pelts blending well in the trees. Or maybe not.... One cat, you could do, but three more was an entirely different matter. They fanned out quickly, teeth bared and claws unsheathed. Though they stand tail-lengths away, you can see the muscles ripple under their supple flesh. These cats were well matched with each other, all knowing their companions techniques, signals, and tactics. This must be a patrol from one of those wildcat clans. You've heard vicious tales of how they fight together, hunt together, and kill any outsiders who dare betray their presence in their territory. There are suppose to be four of them that live close to each other. Which one was this?
Doesn't matter now, you think quietly, at the moment, it doesn't matter which one it is. I'm surrounded by a group of vicious cats.
"You," the patched gray and black one asks, "What's your name?"
You calmly tell them your name, even though on the inside your stomach's flipping over. "I'm sorry I crossed you bor-"
"Too late for 'pologies. Come with us." A mottled brown one said, flicking his tail. The cats lined up to form a tight seal around their new captive, a diamond pattern that was simple but every inch effective. Through the trees, up the cliffs, padding up narrow rocky paths and passing massive redwoods, you arrive at your destination.
The camp was in the trees, with a simple fallen tree used to reach it. Inside, cats and kits alike were to be seen; eating, playing, chatting, or just dozing under the lazy afternoon sun. One cat from the patrol trotted to a den and popped his head in, re-emerging momentarily with a black she-cat, her intense yellow gaze unblinking. She was murmuring instructions to the cat; your ears strained and caught the words, "prisoner."
Meanwhile, you are awed by your surroundings. It seems so peaceful here, nothing like the famous tales of ever-occuring war and cat slaughter. Maybe life in a clan wouldn't be so bad. You watch interested at the unique moves two half-grown cats are practicing- maybe one day that'll be you, too.
Get a hold on yourself, you tell yourself sharply.
But the black she-cat notices the way you look at everything. "I can tell you are pleased with our ways of living." she mews, her voice spoke with a strange dialect you've never heard before. "Perhaps you would be interested in joing?"
Your brain stops for a moment. Whoa....wait, what? Is she serious? She just met me!
And she seem to read your thoughts. "I can see you have the heart for a clan. You are strong, confident, and clearly intelligent. You take interest in our life I haven't seen a rogue have in many a long season. Would you think about it? Meanwhile, take a tour of our living home- we're standing on tree branches, you know."
And you seriously start to consider it, as a gray tabby who introduces himself as Graysky gives you the grand tour.   -WolfClan symbol, by Shadowstalker "Welcome to WolfClan." -Graysky "Haha, I suppose I should start with the history of this place. Where do I even begin to start....? WolfClan doesn't go very far back, but it's quite a story..." I bet the first thing you're thinking is, 'Why is this called WolfClan?' You were expecting some sort of large wolf banner, or wolf paw print clan symbol, weren't you? We're called WolfClan for reasons I bet not for the same reasons as others. You see, our leader, Shadowstalker, came from what we call the North Lands. Far, far north from here is a land of cold and snow and ice, and mountainous terrain. Shadowstalker lived there until she was fifteen moons old, which then, she left, seeking warmer country with a small band of followers. You will see she isn't the only one with a different accent. Up in these mountains, there were many wolves. Sometimes Shadowstalker would stay up for hours at night, listening to their howls, watching them from great distances, learning from them, in a way. She wanted her clan to be as strong-willed for survival and creative as the wolves with their means of gaining what they need. It is because of these wolves, you see, that she taught the clan to hunt in packs, or patrols, to bring down a very large prey: deer. We can only succeed to bring down the small females, but one deer can feed the entire clan for days. It is very hard to bring them down, but they stay here all year long out in the open, unlike small prey that hibernate for the winter. WolfClan rarely goes hungry in leaf-bare. From these wolves, our clan learned so much. We are the wolves of this generation.
We are also sometimes referred to as one of the darker, more cold blooded clans. Perhaps we are not as bright as our rival clans,, but we aren't evil. But we are excellent battlers, spending much time perfecting our fighting tactics.
Our warrior code is slightly different from those of most other clans, but we all have the same basic rules to live by; don't trespass, a deputy needs to mentor at least one apprentice, defend your clan, such.
I think you will find us to be quite a unique clan.[/sub] "What are we like? Hmmm....."[/color] WolfClan cats are a little bit bigger than other cats, of average speed and weight, and tend to be lighter on their paws. Most have longer, thicker fur, a gene gained from those whose blood came from the mountain. Tabbies are common, kittypets are scorned, Persians (or flat-faced) cats are often mistreated, and exceptionally long upper fangs run in about every other cat. Muzzles vary, though medium length is most common. Coat colors usually are browns, dark grays, or blacks, with an exception of a dark ginger or red every now and then. It's tradition any white kits become medicine cats, although they do not have to be. This is because the white coat is too easy to spot in battle, but makes them easy to find when someone is looking for the medicine cat in the forest. Yellow, gray, and pale blue eyes are most common. There are actual half-mixes in the clan, a pair of littermates who are half bobcat and another that is half margay. (The margay is an exotic tree cat that is an amazing climber that lives in jungles. Runaway from nearby twoleg zoo mates with a clan cat) Their legs are generally long from climbing mountains back in the north, and they have large feet that were once used as snowshoes in the north, but still find use today in deep snow and cliff climbing. Legend has it there is Lynx blood in the clan, but this may be just that, a legend. They tend to have exceptionally sharper hearing and are very good tree climbers, especially in their redwood forests, where the bark is soft and east to climb to a niche int the giant trunk.
They are known to be very sly and clever, but also extremely creative. They have extremely unique battle and hunting techniques that are nowhere near similar to other clans, making them very hard to predict in battle. They are one of the only clans that can run, walk, and fight effectively on ice. Their downsides are that though they are diligent, they are also arrogant, somewhat snarky to other clans, often make fun of other clan's cat's faults, are quick to fight, can be coldhearted, and are very vengeful. If you kill their kill, accident or not, be ready to have one of your own taken away.[/color] "Though if you join this clan, there are several rules you must follow....[/b] 1. Protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your
life. You may have friendships in other clans, but your loyalty must
remain to your own clan, as you may one day meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another clan's territory.
3. Kits and Queens should be fed first, then elders. It is the apprentice's
job to provide for the Nursery and retired warriors.
4. When a life of your clanmate has been taken, revenge must be taken for
their life. A cat the same rank as them must be killed from the
enemy clan to justify the lost one.
5. A kit must be five moons old to become an apprentice.
6. After recieving his warrior name, the warrior must patrol a silent vigil
the entire night along all four borders.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least two apprentice.
8. The deputy becomes leader after the old leader dies or retires. If there is
large disagreement, the medicine cat visits the MoonCavern
for assistance from StarClan.
9. All apprentices are required to complete at leas one assignment of the
deputy or leader. Three assements must be done for an apprentice
to become a warrior.
10. A gathering of all four clans at the full moon during a truce that lasts
one night. There shall be no fighting among the clans at this time.
11. Boundries are to marked and checked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. A medicine cat cannot refuse to treat any cat in need of their help.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. Cats should only kill when absolutley nessesary, or when conflicts with tradition.
15. It is forbidden to eat both parents of a brood of prey, especially babies,
because they should not be left abadonned, unless necessary for
survival.
16. An apprentice cannot attend a gathering without having at least one assetment,
or have visited the MoonCavern at least once.
17. The leader may punish rule breakers however they wish. Cats who committ serious
violations, like having a forbidden mate, can be subject to exile or even death.
[/sub] "Next is the territory and camp! You probably aren't allowed to actually view our hunting grounds, since you haven't actually joined yet, but I can tell you about them. Meanwhile, let me show you around our camp!" Our forests are like no other- certainly not like the ones in the clans below us. Yes, below us. You see, WolfClan terriotry is raised up higher than the others, for our grounds are on the top of a ridge line of cliffs. The cliffs are very tall, about thirty-three fox-lengths higher up (equivalant to three-four storeis high), giving us a breath taking view of the other clan's territories if we to stand at the edge.
And we do not have your average oak'n'elm forest, either. Instead, we have the wonderul kind giants, the great Redwoods. You see, since we are up on the cliffs, we gain more spoil away from the bedrock, leaving lots of room for the great redwoods' roots. Since we have such a different habitat, we have a different ecosystem all together. Different prey, different predators, different herbs to be picked. It also gives us an advatage over other clans, who would not be nearly as adpated as we are to this forest. When we first came here, our current land belong, surprisingly, to no one. Why? Because nobody thought it was worth it to scale those towering cliffs to hunt in a forest they knew nothing about. The perfect advantage over others. But we, from the mountains, are quite use to climbing. Our unusually large paws make it easy to balance on slim ledges, and our pads, rough from years of rubbing stone mountains, make gripping the smooth stone easy.
We aren't all redwood trees. To the northwest, our cliff becomes less steep and not as high, and the redwoods thin into oaks and poplars, with the ocassional elm. This is where we border with our rivals.
To the south, we share the cliffs as a border between more rivals. The cliffs make a good border, as it's rather hard to accidentally chase a squirrel over the border! We rarely have to worry about that border.

The Training Tree [li] A large, acient redwood right next to a small clearing.
The actual roots of the redwood stretech above the ground,
making a interesting hollow inside, it's roots on either side
like a wall of living, wooden spider web. Great to train inside
on rainy days or practice fighting in tight spaces.
Deer's Tree [/li][li] A oak who's two main branches look like antlers. Shredded Rocks [/li][li] An array of razor-sharp pointed granite boulders in a rocky hollow amid the small oak grove. The River [/li][li] A large river that winds through the territory and thunders off the cliff into a waterfall, down into WaveClan territory. Cat's Eye Rock [/li][li] A large granite boulder shaped like an cat's eye, with a crack running down the center of it like a pupil. Acient Stump [/li][li] The huge, giant stump of a once-proud redwood from long ago. Old Deer Trail [/li][li] The trail that some deer still use today - and cats, too! Great Waterfall [/li][li] A tremedous waterfall that follows from the river and pours over the edge of the great cliff, down into the lake of WaveClan below. Extremely dangerous, rapids in this area! Fallen Redwood [/li][li] The trunk of a full-grown redwood spans the might river.It stands at three tail lengths above the water at the lowest point, and is a very easy way to cross safely. The Old Coyote cave [/li][li] The cave of a now dead coyote. Great for shelter, large and spacious, too shallow for badgers or foxes to use. "There's a few last things you should know about...."CLAN RULES
 1. No spamming. This includes advertising for your clan. If you are coming to fetch someone back to your own RP, that is fine.
2. You can start roleplaying right away.
3. Put "I like the name WolfClan" next to the "codeword" section on your joining form if you read the rules.
4. I reserve the right to ban (exile) people from my clan if they break my rules.
5. If your character is exiled, you can stick around and be a rogue, as long as your exile was just roleplay and you didnt break any rules.
6. Stay realistic in all forms. Not only can you not have canary-yellow cats, your roleplay must be as well. No powers. This includes not coming back with 5 fresh-kill in two minutes of hunting. Cats can't have colors like violet for their eyes. Cat's cannot have "leaf green" or "navy blue" eyes either, since it's impossible. Also, no really distinctive marks like "a sun shaped symbol on his chest" or "a star shape on one hip". Also, nothing like feathers braided into their hair.
7. Now power playing, god-moding, or spotlighting. Power playing is when you make your cats do extraordinary things, like "Silverstar ran faster than any cat on earth." God-moding is controlling other people's cats, such as "Silverstar made Tigerstripe flinch with her steely gaze," or dodging every single move in battle. Spotlighting is constantly bringing your character back as the main hero, by making it do stuff like save drowning kits or fight off foxes all the time just for attention.
8. Never reveal anything at the gatherings. Gatherings are every Saturday, and the time changes every time. You do not have to go. The clan leader picks who attends. If you do not attend, do not stalk the page.
9. Failure to train your apprentice may cost you to lose them. Apprentices are a privilege.
10. If you don't get on for two weeks without further notice, I may kill off your character. I can understand if you're grounded.
11. Remember that after battles, you still have wounds. Make sure your charrie has difficulty getting around and/or is stiff, or of such.
12. If you read the rules all the way up to here, please put "Renskallius" as your code word.
13. The deputy is in charge when I am away. Also, you must ask a owner's permission to kill of a charrie.
14. No swearing, flamming, bashing, etc. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. If your temper gets too hot, I might send you away for a while to cool off.
15. No perfect characters, list a fault or vice in your joining form description. Keep everything PG. Violence can go a little bit into PG-13, but no gorier than Tigerstar's death.
16. Please, I'd rather not have white/cream cats unless they are medicine cats. You still can, but I'd rather you not. REMEMBER: White cats with blue eyes are deaf.
17. Don't forget, WolfClan is a slightly evil clan, that are battle-hungry and like to fight.
18. Please don't make your cat description too long. And by this, I mean like a paragraph. I have to make it fit into a small line on the alliances. Please don't get mad at me if I have to take more detailed stuff out of your description to make it fit, leaving only the basic stuff. "So...what do you say? Will you join? BATTLE TECHNIQUES
Offensive Moves
Front Paw Slash - The most simpliest move used in just about every clan. Front paw lashes out while facing an opponent, with a good chance it'll catch them on the side of the head, chest, or shoulders, if you are facing them head-on. However, since it's used in all clans, it's easily predicted.
Front Flip - WCM. After dazing your opponent momentarily (see next move), you have just enough time to complete this move. Dart in under their head, and stick your front legs in-between their two. Bend your elbow join so your leg comes up and around their shoulder, so your paws should just reach their sides (In a human sense, almost like a hug), and give a mighty twist with your front end of the body to either the left or right, but don't roll over completely. Your opponet will be flipped onto their back, promptly exposing their belly to your next attack.
Jaw Smash - WCM. This move takes much practice to master and is difficult to complete. When your opponet is infront of you, get at least a tail-length away from their head. Then comes the difficult part; using your back legs, rear up. As you come up, bring your front paws together and bring them up to smash them into your enemy's lower jaw. Unless they have especially think bone, it should at least daze them and/or put them into much pain that they are frozen momentarily. The balance and strength needed for this move takes time to master, but this is one of WolfClan's best moves, and can be used before any other move to give you time t get in position.
Back Leg Throw - WCM. This one takes much percision to get right. First, stun your opponent using the Jaw Smash. Then, (the hardets part,) roll underneath your oponent from the side, so you are directly underneath them. Using your back legs, thrust with all your might at their belly. They will shoot from you and land hopefully a few fox-lengths away. While they recover from the fall, you can choose your next attack.
Neck Scour - Jump onto the opponent's back but face backwards, and begin raking your hind claws against their neck.
Whiplash - WCM. This one takes much percision to get right. First, stun your opponent using the Jaw Smash. Then, (the hardets part,) roll underneath your oponent from the side, so you are directly underneath them. Using your back legs, scratch them repeatedly with your hind claws to their unprotected belly. Right when they come back to their senses (about two heartbeats prior to rolling under them), roll back out as they attempt to flatten you by dropping their weight. Now collapsed, this is your perfect opportunity to use another move. Or, you can jump onto their back and, using your front paws while gripping with your back, slash their shoulders while you bite their nape of their neck. Jump of quickly.
Blood Blinding - WCM. Blind your opponent by ripping both ears, and if you have enough time/or, above the eyes, so that blood runs into them and blinds them.
Painful Paw - WCM. Dig your claws into enemy's paw(s), and if you can, their pads, so it becomes hard to walk without limping. (Additionally: good to follow up with a Favor Buckle)
Favor Buckle - WCM. Simple but effective. If a cat is favoring (using lightly/not using as much) a leg or paw, that means they will be putting more reliance and weight on their other one. Because of this, it will be easy to knock their legs from underneath them. Simply find the tendon at the back of their leg (mento will show where) and tug hard with a claw or paw, pulling their leg out from underneath them. Since they are relying on this leg more, it will severly unbalance them and make them buckle. Also good move evern without favored leg/paw.
Red Belly - WCM. Scratch exposed belly until fur around bleeds red.
Back Throw - WCM. Slip under opponent (easier after completing Jaw Smash) and arch your back very suddenly, effectively throwing your enemy. Also good for if your enemy is atop you.
Scythe - WCM. Severe injury. Jump atop the enemy, your weight crushing them. Place yourself so on one side of them you have both forelegs and the other side are both hind legs. Step on their spine and place yourself in a way to that as both sets of legs slip down their sides, it rakes their pelts, brutally injuring them.
Mortal Blow - WCM. Death blow. Use sparingly. Sink your fangs into their throat and twist slightly, before pulling outward with jaws still closed (i.e. tear out their throat...literally)
Dark Forest's Rage - WCM. Potential death blow. Use sparingly. Sink your claws into their chest, twist, and rake your claws up their throat.
Death of the Spiked Flower - WCM. Death Blow. Use sparingly. Sink your claws into their chest and, rip quickly, all the way to the tail.
The Nightshade - WCM. Sink your fangs into the opponent's cheek/jaw area, while at the same time sweeping their legs out from under them using your back legs, letting go afterwards. While they are down, this is a good opportunity to land a blow to their neck or chest, or alternately, use the Blood Blinding technique.
Fall from Grace - Jump off a higher point and land on the enemy's back, hard. May be deadly as you have a 10% chance of breaking their spine.
Cold Death - WCM. Death blow. Use Sparingly. Requires ice. Run along at top speed at the opponent. Then, when you get close, flip onto your back, slide right underneath them. Rake your claw from chest to tail in one movement, landing the death blow. Your momentum will carry you right out from underneath them as they collapse.
Icy Knockout - WCM. Requires ice. Gain speed. Let yourself slide until you are a fox-length away. Then, position yourself so your legs both sprawl [somewhat awkwardly] to one side of your body in a strange sitting position, your front legs to one side. As you get close to their back legs, stop yourself very suddenly by digging in your claws, use the momentum to use your back legs and spin around in a almost 180 degree turn, knocking their legs out from under them.
Snow Shove - WCM. Requires ice. Shove into a unsuspecting clan cat to unbalance them and send them skidding across ice they aren't use to.
Headbutt Slash - WCM. Requires ice. Ram into cat's side to send them sliding on their side. Gain more speed. When you get close to the still-lying cat, let your back legs come around to your front on one side in an awkward sitting position, as if you are about to lay down. Your back paws will ram into their stomach, winding them. They may slide a little, but not much, since their side creates more friction. This is your opportunity to attack.
Fear Slash - WCM. Slash at enemy's chest before rolling your front body forward to knock their front legs out from under them. Then throw with back legs. When they land, jump on their body, maybe breaking a rib. Rake their back with your back claws while biting their neck with your jaws.

Counterattacks and Defensive Moves
Claw Block - One forepaw comes up and sweeps the upraised paw away. Very difficult to complete, as front paw slashes and head-on moves are lightning quick.
Counter Rear - As a enemy tries to dive underneath you, rear up, let them come under, then drop back to all fours, promptly squashing them. Optionally, you can Blood Blind them or complete a neck scour with your front paws. For a more vicious approach, you can use your back leg to kick them in the face.
Crush Counter - WCM. If an enemy attempts to use the Counter Rear on you, before they fall back on you, dive for their back legs at the same time their front legs come down. There is a 50% chance they'll do an unitentional and very painful summersault.
Back Flip - WCM. Can be used in multiple circumstances. Push very hard off the ground with your front paws, rearing, and fall back so your front paws now touch the ground behind you, your belly arched to the sky. Then push off your back legs and bring them over you. Extremely difficult, but serves multiple purposes: it confuses your opponents; you can dodge a blow and the Crush Counter at the same time; You can kick your enemy and complete a jaw smash in a row; and many more.
Back Roll - When an enemy cat jumps on your back, instead of trying to throw them off, roll over and squash them beneath you in a simple counterattack.
Lifesaver - This move could save your life. If. Cat is going for your throat, sweep your legs under theirs to knock off their balance. If this does not shake them off, bring your paws up and sink your claws into their eyes. This has almost always worked.

HUNTING TACTICS
Classic Crouch - Shift your weight to your back paws, remaining light on your front ones. Crouch down, carefully keeping your tail just above the forest floor, as not to let is drag in the leaves, thus alerting the prey. Keep your weight distributed evenly on both hind paws, and inch forward, shoulders hunch and haunches neatly tucked in. When about two tail-lengths away, push with your back legs forward, not up, so you land on the prey and break its neck, OR catching it between your paws. Catches rodents like mice or birds on the ground.
Pack Hunt - WCM. One of the main things learned from the wolves in the North lands. Requires at least seven cats. Spread out so an entire circle is created around the deer (deer should preferably be a fawn of smaller female), with about two-fox lengths between each cat. One cat, called the Startler, will suddenly leap up and chance the deer. If it is a mother with her fawn, the encircled cats will separate the two, a few chasing after the mother and the rest go after the fawn. Otherwise, the cats will close in and leap upon the deer's back, careful to avoid the back legs that can brutally kick a cat dead, and go for the neck. One deer can feed the clan for days.
Mole Maneuver - Moles spend most their time underground, but do come close to the surface in some tunnels. First, find a tunnel entrance. Then use your ear pressed to the ground while another cat yells into the hole. If you can feel the vibrations, you know you're atop a tunnel. Dig down until you reach the tunnel, and wait after placing a dead worm just outside the hole for bait, creating a small ramp coming out. It may take a while, but a mole will come out, and you catch them.

Description: Light purple lilac eyes (caused by injury to veins in eyes) Her fur is a dark blueish gray color giving off a hint of violet, thus her name.Darker markings make up her tail and her ear along with a small darker spotted nose.She enjoys bringing violets to her den and lines her nest with it always carrying a petal or two somewhere along her pelt adding the sent.
Mate- None
Personality:Down to earth and very relaxing.Every once and a while she'll go out to collect violets for her nest lining them carefully around.Calm to correct a mistake and her loyalty is beyond most.loves walks in the forest at night and often takes naps in feilds.Ready to do almost anything and seems to know deep rooted pressure moves in comeback

Other:The reason of her liking violets is being younger her sister Primpaw would always enjoy stopping by a patch of them, whenever she was upset she would run and hide betwin the stems and wait for blackviolet where they would talk about what happened, it gave her the feeling of safety.that spot was also where her sister had caught her first prey.Then Primpaw got very sick, her dying wish was for Blackvoilet to bring her one violet to "Have a piece of her sister in starclan" in her words.She later died with it in her paws.Being around the flower makes blackvoilet feel like her sister was alive again

Blackviolet's pushing it a bit...the carrying around petals and lilac eyes... give me a sec. She doesn't really carry them around by jaw, it sticks on her since she sleeps in them, partly the sent as she always has that with her, but she never really " carries" them.her eyes (looked this up before I made to chara to be sure it could happen) her eye was hit was by a hard blow as a kit which damaged the blood vessels turning them the color they are, if you want I'll change it |
