I think that if we stop using oil we will pollute the environment much less badly and stop fighting over the Middle East. Of course a lot of other things would come from stopping the use of oil but those are a few of the best.

If we could switch our power that would be a lot better (like dawn said) just a thought what would come of gas stations? those lose their jobs any imports from other places will be taken out then what about the energy switch? how could we give the power to our cars from solar energy? a panel on top wouldn't work (hail, sleet ect) same thing for wind
I guess with everything there's a good and a bad side any thoughts?

Gas where I am is about $3.40~3.50 per the gallon. which is why my dad is working on getting a solar powered car.

Well the gas station people could probably get jobs in the new solar/wind power companies that would open up if we made the power source change but you're right there're good results and bad ones for everything that happens. Gas here is also around $3.50 a gallon.

Not sure if this would count as politics but... Where do you stand on the whole PETA thing? What do I think about peta? I Haven't searched everything about it but from what I've seen and read it's horrible They claim they help animals wrong here are their numbers of animals they have transported had adopted or even killed Every year they killed more then half of there animals. A statement from them. "We from PETA very much love the animal companions who share our home, but we believe that it would have been in the animals best interest if the institution of "pet keeping, breeding animals to be kept and regarded to as "pets" never existed" It's their stated goal (even on there website) to reduce and eliminate pets owner ship by humans regarded as "pets" But they don't want to set them free or anything They don't think domestic breeds should have existed at all. There not interested in helping any animals do anything other then dying.Less then 1% of they money they collect from donations or adoption actually go to helping the animals. So these little guys get nothing.PETA states that It cost to much to keep them all alive,so they have to kill some of them. How much is "some"? a handful? Over half. And what happens to these little guys who didn't even deserve it? Shot killed and thrown in landfills. They get over thirty million a year and they would rather spend it on advertisements and publicity stunts. Wear A coat made of cat fur? I'd rather get stabbed. Peta makes games just to get attention. so instead of helping your animals you make games that only prove what your really doing? I just don't get "PETA" I will include more later. What do you think about it?

PETA's co-founder is also a nut and on Penn & Teller (The show with a bad word )they compared her to Hitler, which i found quite truthful and hilarious. Then when PETA's 'Holocaust on your plate' campaign was on i was infuriated that they would put on such an ad when their euthanization rates are less then stellar (in fact they are terrible) Anyway you should really watch it if you are up for some cold hard truths on PETA (it is either on season 1 or 2) and because of its profanity (both in name and show) and disturbing scenes anyone who wants a link should ask in a pm. In the show it also talks about how PETA supports (in various cases) the Animal Liberation Front which is responsible for the vandalization of genetic research labs. If we stood back and thought about all that those labs give us then it would seem absurd to vandalize them, especially considering without them that medical advancements would come to a complete stop. (Goes more in depth in video.) Medical research on animals has provided: Vaccines - Anthrax Chicken pox Cholera some others mentioned that i do not know Flu Influenza B Hepatitis A & B Measles Polio Rabies Small pox Tetanus Whopping Cough and Yellow Fever Medications - Insulin - (Which was co-discovered by Sir Frederick Banting KBE MC FRS FRSC) Those with diabetes need this to survive (though for others it is produced naturally) Penicillin - ( Discovered by Sir Alexander Fleming FRSE, FRS, FRCS(Eng)) Is used as anti biotics and was used early on to treat syphilis. Pain Killers - Fairly obvious to what they are for and since there are many kinds no one founder has been listed Anti-Inflammatory Drugs - Used to fight inflammation (same reason above as why no creator was listed) Chemotherapy - Used to treat cancer Devices - Pacemakers Artificial heart Artificial hip Artificial knee Procedures - Heart transplantation Organ transplantation Kidney transplantation Liver transplantation

So far, the group hasn't confirmed the obvious, that it's using the appliance to store the bodies of the animals -so your not only killing them but keeping there body's? Anyone give me any good reason for doing thatIn 2000, when the Associated Press first noted PETA's Kervorkian-esque tendencies, PETA president complained that actually taking care of animals costs more than killing them. "We could become a no-kill shelter immediately," -Then do it. One of the comments on a blog I found somebody Was talking about how it's not suprising because peta is in america. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?it even had thumbs up -_- So just because these so called "people" live in america that doesn't mean everyone's like that!

I am usually the first one to jokingly take a shot at America but i have to add that PETA's co-founder Ingrid Newkirk (the one i referenced above) is British and only the other co-founder Alex Pacheco is American. I only make fun of you guys when you deserve it. (not in this case really since i think Newkirk is the real nutcase)
I agree involving the holocaust was a really bold and insensitive move. Also strangly enough in the video i am talking about they talk about that very same walk-in freezer and get experts in that say that the only use they could see PETA using it for is cadavers (or dead animal bodies). Also the video link is incoming.

(thanks but Can't watch it dad's behind me and I'm gonna go to a club soon)
I don't think there's any good reason for having a walk freezer to store animals their probably doing horrible test on them or something Peta wears a constant mask how can their people even stand to work there.
And one thing you said.
"I only make fun of you guys when you deserve it"
when we deserve it?..

I wanna keep my gun. I'M TEXAN.
My dad's friend was telling a story about how a few days ago, he went to visit the Capitol building (here in Austin), and brought his gun. The secruity officer checked it, and his other stuff, gave it back to him, and told him to have a nice day. xD
While I agree people should run a background check before selling a gun, I mostly disagree about this new gun control. All it will do is keep people who want it for protection from getting them. Criminals can easily just get others off the black market.
