-forgot about this thread-
1.I think America means pride. We do get cocky a lot. "Big weapons?, ha no one will mess with us I can say whatever I want" For most it's like that but thats not really a reason, were pretty scared people actually. As for the blame everyone seems to pin it on the president. "Food stamps? killed by guns? Obama you making this place go to crap." As I've said before Everyone just thinks he can redo what has pulled the country down for hundreds of years, No human has the power to do that.He can make it better but he can't fix everything. It's everyone's fault as an equal Not one person.Rules for people that others try to make stronger or tear down, they just work against each other nothings ever going to be completely fine.
2.Exactly.Having a gun depends on the person using it.Criminals or idiots with guns something is bound to go on.doesn't bring the best of memeries back..
3.It shouldn't be allowed at all deffentily, If there's no true use of it (forgeting the meds) Then why do we need it? I hate how people think its fun to smoke or take all these drugs when they fair know it takes 30 years of your life, Would you like spending that living your life being with your kids and loved ones or dead? Even how fast smoking got to kids is a shock its normal to see it in middle school now.All because people don't even think about how this effects anyone but them.

I agree the British dude is a bit off on his point but I cannot help admire that he was brave enough to speak like that on a conservative forum.

Snowfeather: I highly disagree on your first point there. It's really common for liberals to think that's how we conservatives are, but in reality, we're not like that. We don't blame everything on the President, just the stuff that WAS his fault. During his first term, Obama said that he would bring this country out of debt. But instead, he just got us deeper and deeper into debt. When he first started his term, we were slowly climbing out of it (slowly, but definitely getting there). Then it slammed downhill when he took over. Sometimes I feel a bit bad for Obama. A lot of the reason he's not doing so well is because his poor choice in advisers. They kind of use him as a puppet sometimes. This is just my opinion, up to you if you acknowledge it or not. The one thing that bothers me on a personal level with Barrack Obama, is the fact he doesn't admit his mistakes. Other presidents before him, if they goofed up, they would apologize to the country and admit they were wrong. But Obama doesn't- he just keeps acting like he was right all along. Several times, in fact, he's assured us that the economy is getting better when in fact it was getting worse. Besides, even if Marijuana DOES have medical properties, it's not like it's unique to it. There are plenty of other less harmful, far less addicting pain relievers.

I'm with Shade on this point. I don't support Obama, but I don't think all our problems are his fault either. I just think that what he's trying to do as President isn't helping much.

Snowfeather: Maybe not, but it's more of implied because most Liberals don't blame Obama for "everything." You mean the one over in the middle east? Wait wait wait, I know the country....what was it...

My dad and I were talking about how bad this topic is yesterday, and it turned out to be a really long conversation.
Thoughts on racism? or how bad it is in your area?

There is little to no racism in my area, some racism goes on in the halls at school in between classes however it is more of a big joke (still serious but from what I can tell it rarely hurts anyone)
There is not much to say about my opinion on racism except that I am opposed to it.

Horrible in my school, if people don't know you they call you by the race you are like "Hey white girl!" sad really. It used to be just a few jokes here that weren't really offending here and there then it turned into fights about it and broken bones about it when it should of ended long ago.

My area isn't too bad, I'm sure there's a little bit but I haven't really noticed much. As for me I don't think I'm really racist. I've known people who are smart/stupid/funny/mean regardless of race, and I try not to let their race affect my view of them.

In my area, some people joke about their own race. It's kind of strange.

This topic in my opinion was ok and kinda quick, but i think i got a good topic
Obama's spending issue.
Obama's presidency has borrowed more than any peacetime president, and on average he's borrowed $4 billion per day.45 percent of everything the government spends on is borrowed. If i'm right he's been wildly expanding the military firepower by trillions.
Currently the US owes (as debt) $14.1 trillion because it borrows so much.We owe $4.3 to other countries, like China, 27% of that we have yet to pay off (about 1.61) most of this is of course being put into things we don't exactly need at this moment.Like expanding of firepower, There isn't any reason we should be expanding it as much as we are.Plus we owe Hong Kong $121.9 billion and with all of the "Lottery free givings" could pay it off easy but instead he chooses to give it away.
So and topic is
1.What do you think of Obama's spending issue toward America?
2.What do you think about the vast expand of military weaponry?
3.What do you think we should be spending the money on?

The problem was he inherited a problem, the situation he is in I find much like the situation of the African countries. They try to do ok, but they are constantly set back by corruption and the fact that they get more interest on their loans every year then those loans even cost in the beginning! Foreign aid stops coming in (cash flow) because it is a risky investment (corruption) and if there truly is a good ruler he cannot do anything because of debt. The U.S. situation is not as bad but it is on a much larger scale. blog.heritage.org/2012/09/04/u-s-debt-hits-16-trillion/ <--- Take a look at the link Yes Obama should not be loaning but I really do not think he has a choice. Edit: You do not really need such a large military, countries bigger then you have managed with smaller ones. And I think he should be spending money on paying off debts

I think that Obama didn't create the problem, but he certainly isn't helping fix it at all. That's mostly why I don't want him as president.
I also think that we really don't need more weapons since it's relatively peaceful these days.
We should be putting as much money as possible to paying off debts. We should definitely stop the lottery and put the money toward paying off the debt as fast as possible. (Like Dave Ramsey says if anybody has heard of him.) It would also be really great if the population in general would try to give the government some money to put towards paying off the debt. Yes, it was the government that borrowed all that money in the first place, but since the citizens elected the government we should take at least some of the blame and try to help.

The problem is he's loaning to much and using it on things we don't need.He should take the money we've earned (Say through taxes) and use that to pay of the debt.I agree with dawn completely on taking the money from the lottery on using that to pay it off.
We should cut the military spending, there is no reason to keep expanding it so much like were going to be invaded.Terroiest attacks yes, but that large of firepower isn't need for something like that.
What he should do for one cut the spending on military, Then put it to use on the debt problem.Once that is cut down enough focus on other issues that don't involve firepower
