Hello Blackbolt here with a review of the newest Warrior cats book from the Omen of the stars set - The forgotten warrior!
I managed to finish the book on the release date after the kind people at Indigo let me have it before they put it on the shelves.
Now so much went on in this book that it is to much to explain in a simple review, but like most suspected it was fairly easy to predict what happens even before opening the cover. But i can tell you it was exciting none the less.
[glow=red,2,300]SPOILER ALERT! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow]
As expected by some Hollyleaf plays a prominent role in the book and is even mentioned in the prologue *though it might not be clear*. And we discover that more and more cats are getting dragged into the dark forest as well as a plot to get revenge on Thunderclan for the death of Flametail (by a deranged sister) more drama unfolds as you turn the pages and the surprise return of Sol shocked even me. (there is still a lot left to mention but giving away the whole book would be no fun)
[glow=red,2,300]SPOILER ALERT OVER! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[/glow]
Now this book is very exciting and i really enjoyed it. But to me it was missing something that 'Crookedstars Promise' had and that is why my rating is a tad bit lower for this book.
4/5 Kittens is an acceptable rating, hope you enjoy!
Edit - Let me explain the introduction of spoilers in the story that was missing from my other guides. First on the what happens next thread many people put spoiler alert before saying what happened or they think happens so i find it acceptable to put it in my review and the fact that i also changed the font makes me feel more confident about adding it in. I would also like to point out that not all of us hate spoilers, in fact i find it makes the book more exciting waiting for the part where this 'event' happens. And of course you always have the option to skip over the spoiler if you so choose.

Very nice. I just ordered it from my library (Two days before it was suppose to come out and already 6 people before me. ) I'm trying so hard not to look at the spoiler but by grip is slipping and I'm about to peak. MAYBE SPOILER Though I think I know that Lionblaze and Jayfeather and going to end up meeting Hollyleaf later in the book. MAYBE-SPOILER OVER. I dunno. But my eyes are straying to the spoiler part. Maybe I'll only read the first part . . .

Phhhff. I just read the whole thing because my greedy brain wants to know. I can hear is whispering, "More! More!" SPOILER IF YOU HaVE NOT READ SOTM (SIGN OF THE MOON)
How is the death of Flametail Thunderclan's fault? In fact, Jayfeather tried to save him. It's not their fault the stupid cat was playing on the ice. And I'm guessing this "deranged sister" is Dawnpelt (think that's her name)? I always liked her.
SPOILER OVER

[glow=red,2,300]SPOILER ALERT![/glow]
Yes there was a lot i left unmentioned not to ruin the story. But i agree it is just Dawnpelt trying to find a "better reason" for her brothers death. Drowning is not so glorious huh?

Spoiler Alert (but not much of one since there are battles in almost every book and i do not mention the clans that partake in them) And they left it off on such a cliff hanger eh? I wanted to find out how the battle ended (though it is obvious who had them beat with all those new fancy moves )

IKR? You'd think the clans would wonder where the heck some of their warriors learned their moves, and why their not attacking cats outside their clan!

Firestar dissed Onestar at the gathering "I suggest you stop Onestar before you dig yourself into a deeper hole" (or something like that )

Wondeder what her meant by that . . . I'm kind of hoping, in the book where Firestar dies (don't tell me if he dies in the Forgotten Warrior) they'll do things from his view, like in the Original Arc. Along with Lionblae's and Jayfethaer's and all them.

Yeah that would be really cool if they did that

What he means by this is that Onestar has been "Digging himself a hole" Because of how Hostile he is. He's taking his clan down with him, making sure that no cat even washed their paws (I personally thought that was stupid ) in the river (Or bank or something )

I was travelling all day the day this came out so I couldn't read it on release date. I did however get it the day after. I was pretty shocked at the end when Sol revealed his true motives for trying to screw up life between the clans. I'm gonna have to reread parts of the SkyClan books to see which cat Sol actually was. And like some others mentioned, I loved Firestar's line to Onestar, I think Blackbolt may have said it earlier but I know it contained "Sit down, Onestar, before you...somethingsomething" My major dislike is how the characters keep all the important things they know to themself until the very last moment, when they finally tell Firestar/other main characters and barely avert a catastrophe. Although the waiting until last second does tend to increase suspense. I can't wait for TLH!

I agree with the statement about the characters keeping everything in until they cannot go on without revealing it and i also loved Firestar in this book he seemed more himself (book 1-6 orig series) than any other book to date (except for book 1-6 ). I loved how he shot down Onestar's defenses with his epic line. I hope the guys at Epic Rap Battles Of History would make a rap about it but i guess they only do historic figures and the chances of them knowing about Warrior Cats are slim to none .

True but i doubt they would do one for warrior cats, but there is always a possibility. They did darth vader...and gandalf and dumbledore.

im guessing theyd only consider fictional characters if they were pretty universal/iconic, otherwise the jokes in the song would only appeal to a smaller spectrum of people. although it would be awesome to maybe see... firestar vs. eragon! or something of the like XD
