(I'm going to call it that since I really don't know the actual name)
So I'm going to give you my recommendations on how to beat this part of PO3, since I was able to do it in one try.
Pre-Battle
Before you actually start fighting, you need to train your cats to a high level. I don't know what a good minimum would be, but I had Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw at level 37 and Hazeltail (recruited cat, make sure to recruit one) at level 32. I also used a TON of fish and adders on all of them to boost HP and SP stats. I used hundreds of them on each cat, maybe around 600 fish for each cat and 400 or 500 adders each cat. You can easily get fish by the lake (I spammed it so many times, it will take a while to get as much as I did. The max is 99, so make sure to check it every so often. With spamming, I'd say it took me 6-7 minutes to reach 99 each time.) I mostly just bought all my adders since it's so much more time consuming to get them. I also recommend having 50 pheasants and max on catnip. A smart way to do this is to battle fox cubs using basic attacks only. You can spam the enter button on them many times, and you will get exp, pheasants, and catnip. If you start at a decent level, you can usually basic attack them 4-5 times and you will easily beat them. Trust me, you want to be as powerful as you can, since after the first battle with Tornear, you will not be able to save once you continue to the next battle. One last thing, I did a little trick that will definitely help a lot. Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw all are equipped with normal claws. Recruit 3 other cats at the fresh-kill pile (don't include the cat already in your party) and go to the moonpool. Remove the warrior from your party, and add another one. Remove their warrior claws and equip them to one of your cats. Do this until all cats in your party have warrior claws and re-recruit your original warrior. This will make you more powerful. Save, and now you are ready to go into battle.
The Battle
Now you're in the real battle. Personally, Tornclaw and his party were the most difficult to beat. Once you beat them you should be able to beat the rest. The trick to this is to start with a skilled Windclan warrior and go one by one, Tornear for last. ALWAYS use a pheasant/catnip (whichever is more appropriate to the cats' current stats) when a cat is paralyzed. All the cats in every battle really like to paralyze your party, and usually poison, so this is your top priority. If all the cats in your party are paralyzed, you're usually screwed. The best move to use is always Warrior Strike. Pick each cat off one by one as previously stated. If they are revived, use only one cat on them. It usually only takes a claw slash to defeat them again, so don't worry too much. The worst move in this battle that can be used on your party is Tornado Strike by Tornear (I believe) which can damage and stun at the same time, so be cautious. Once you defeat them, heal up and go to the now waiting patrol just outside the camp. Once you talk to Ashfur, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAVE UNTIL THE BATTLE IS COMPLETELY OVER. So make sure to do that. Hollypaw also leaves your party at this point, so you are now down own cat. Once you enter Windclan territory, you are ambushed and you must fight Nightcloud. This battle can be rather difficult, since Nightcloud really loves to poison and stun your party. Every single time a cat is paralyzed, use a pheasant or catnip on them to help them. If you have two cats available, use one to attack Nightcloud with Warrior Strike, and the other to unparalyze the other cat. Don't worry if your entire party is stunned, usually your high HP for each cat will allow you to recover in time with no knocked out cats. Next you will be brought to the twoleg nest, where your only party is Hollypaw and your recruited cat. This battle is pretty easy, you only fight 3 Windclan warriors. Just use the strategy of one-by-one and Warrior Strike, and you should win. Don't forget to unparalyze a cat if one happens to be, so you avoid both cats unable to fight. Once you win this battle, Brambleclaw will allow you to leave the battle and head to Shadowclan to get help. There is no timer, so you can take your time. Heal up if needed, and go to Shadowclan. You will be asked a few questions, with the answers fairly obvious. I recommend not choosing the wrong answer, as you will likely be killed and have to start over. You must head back to the battle by the Twoleg nest, and this time Jaypaw rejoins your party. You must fight 5 Windclan Warriors, just use the same strategy as before. Your cats may also have new moves, like Jaypaw may have SP Strike. I used this fairly often on all the cats, although I'm not sure if it did much. After this battle, you will play as resume battle with Lionpaw and your recruited cat on Windclan territory. This battle is with Crowfeather. Use the same tactic, and if you have Prophecy Boost at this point use it every time, it helps. After this battle is won, the sun will go out and the entire battle will end. Return to camp and go to the medicine den to see that Squirrelflight is hurt. Once you leave and Firestar finishes speaking, you may once again save and sleep in your den. This concludes the battle segment.
