(Welcome Soulfur! I will add you to the next round, which might not be for a little while.)
Gravelrock can definitely smell the kits. He notices that along the kit's footprints, there is also signs of snakes slithering in the mud. Thinking about it, these rocks seem pretty dull and wouldn't hold the kits' attention for long. The wind is howling loudly, so it is difficult to hear anything.
Dawnsky realizes that since the rocks are pretty boring, the kits would have left quickly unless there was a reason they couldn't. She can't hear anything over the wind.
Cheetahfur spots a small cave along the rock wall. She can definitely smell the kits near. Pondering the current dilemma, she thinks that if there were danger nearby, the kits would hide.

"Guys, look, there's snake tracks!" Dawnsky pointed out, putting the pieces together. "Like Cheetahfur said, if the kits were in danger, they'd hide in that cave. And Gravelrock say's there's snakes in the area...Come one!" She dashed over to the cave, hoping they weren't too late.

Leopardfire dashed behind her, trying to avoid the rocks in the path. "I am on my way." She looked back to see if the others were following.

As you get near the small cave entrance, you can hear the kits clearly. They seem to be half crying and half whispering. When you get right up to the cave entrance, you can see that it’s too small for you or the kits to fit through, but inside you can see the kits all standing on a ledge huddled together.

"Did you come to save us from the snakes?" a timid gray tabby mewled.
"We got in here from the big entrance by that tall rock," the orange kit from ThunderClan mewed, "but don't go there! The snakes are there! We've been trapped on this ledge for a while, but the snakes keep coming back!"
The kits look exhausted, and if left alone, would probably not survive another snake attack.

"okay. we'll be careful." she said to the kits before turning to the other warriors. "did you here that guys? the entrance is near the tall rock, and there are snakes in there. we'll have to come up with a strategy to get the snakes out of the cave so the kits can come out." |
