Lilypaw stood with her back to the feather, keeping watch of the other team. Hoping her own plan would work, she glanced at the others on her team ti see what they were doing.

Foxfire easily snuck away from his group and hid in the shadows, he was a good hider if he said so himself. He began to make his way to behind the other team to get the feather.

Cheetahfur whispered something to Mousepelt before she ducked into the bushes, disappearing. she snuck easily through the foliage, placing each pawstep lightly and quickly. she was going to get that feather. but she kept a close watch on her surroundings, as well. the hunter could become the hunted at any time, and now was not a good time to become the hunted. something snapped farther back. a twig perhaps?
Mousepelt watched as Cheetahfur crawled into the bushes, already sneaking. she then crawled awkwardly into the shrubbery, attempting to sneak. she tried her best, but she kept brushing leaves here, tripping on a pebble there. all were small things that might have given her away. she stepped on a twig that snapped loudly, breaking the still silence that had screamed in the air. she winced, and proceeded through the bushes, hoping she could some how re-hide herself. not that she had ever been completely hidden in the first place. Cheetahfur had disappeared, totally undetectable. she would have to ask her for private lessons after this.

Featherflight froze as the twig snapped. She had jus unintentionally given away her location. Now she wouldn't be nearly as effective as a guard. She mentally berated herself for being so bad at sneaking.

Lillypaw heard a twig snap and looked around. Seeing no one, she continued to guard the feather.
She turned to there she was looking directly at the feather.
Maybe if she closed her eyes her hearing would be better...

(you mean Lilypaw? cause Leopardfire's dead.)
Cheetahfur suddenly burst out of the brush, swiped the feather into her mouth, and immediately darted back into the green barricade of leaves, once again invisible. she had won. and all because Lilypaw closed her eyes.
Mousepelt heard a soft, swoosh pt pt pt swoosh behind the where the guards were. had someone gotten the feather? or did someone brush past the bushes on accident, ultimately giving away their location?

(Was I the only one on the defending team? ) Lilypaw looked at Cheetahfur, eyes still open. "Congratulations, Cheetahfur."

(I don't think so...)
Cheetahfur came out of the bushes, feather in her mouth, realizing she'd been seen. she gave Lilypaw a silly grin. "ah gah eh" she said, trying not to drop it. but of course, that wasn't a problem, since it was sticking to the roof of her mouth and refusing to come off.

Featherflight sighed, irritated at her lack of skill. She walked over to Cheetahfur "Great job!" she said. "Can I take lessons from you?"

Mousepelt came out of the bushes and pranced over to Cheetahfur and Featherflight. "oh, me too please. I'd like lessons also."
Cheetahfur smiled, . " oh, you guys are too much, really." she giggled. "but sure, we could have a sneaking lesson."

"Well, before Cheetahfur starts handing out lessons, we need the other group to try first. So would the teams please switch?" Ripplestream interrupted.
"Oh, and I think we'll need a new feather."

Lilypaw nodded and ran into the shadows, glad that she could blend in with her black pelt.
She waited for the game to begin.

Foxfire nodded, stepping out of his hiding place and over to his teammates. He had wanted to get the feather and it had been stolen from him, he had taken a few moments to calm himself inside his hiding place.

Cheetahfur finally managed to get the feather off the roof of her mouth. she padded over to her group and sat down, ready to guard the feather. Foxfire looked just a little bit upset when he came out of the bushes. but Cheetahfur brushed the thought aside. if he wanted to be an angry badger, then so be it. he'll get over it. it is just a game after all.
Mousepelt sat next to Featherflight and mentally prepared her self to guard the feather.

Dawnsky also went over and sat down, thinking about how much of a disaster this was going to be.

Fuzzytail slipped into the shadows, not making a sound. Of course, he was going at a snail's pace, but that didn't matter.
Until he stepped on a twig, that is.
He felt so stupid as he waited for someone to spot him. He was better than this. It was a miracle no one spotted him.
He continued cautiously, inching towards the feather.

Featherflight also started sneaking toward the feather. About a minute into it, she stepped on a twig and jumped, startled. That caused her to accidentally rustle a bush. It seemed that she had made enough noise for the whole forest to hear.

Lilypaw cautiously made her way toward the feather, making sure to go around the leaves and twigs. She was doing well until she noticed half of her dark body was out of the shadows. Hopefully no one noticed.
She was halfway there, at the edge of the shadows. If she ran now, it may be at the wrong time, but if she waited, she may be too late.

Ripplestream watched nervously. Even though Lilypaw and Fuzzytail were good (aside from that twig), it was obvious that none of them were as good as Cheetahfur. Cheetahfur was the most loyal cat she knew, and she was certain she would never be the murderer. "Why can StarClan be so stupid sometimes..." she whispered to herself.
