^ that made me kind of snicker The ones me were eating were just the reg size with some smaller ones, we hadn't eaten the hole day so we were pretty hungry and we always compete like that anyways xP I guess you would say 21 since around 16 I went to those small thin pieces (the rectangle ones) Let me just say i am NEVER doing that again, I was sick for the next day and a half full regret no kidding Me and my brother had a competition to see who could stay a vegetarian the longest, He went a week (he's 23) and i went 2 weeks and a day (14) then couldn't do it anymore Everyday after school me and my friend go for a run around the neighberhood and head down through the creek behind my house

I tried being a vegetarian for a week. Didn't even make two days. I'M SORRY I'M TEXAN, IT'S IN MY BLOOD. Although in my household, since we're Catholic, we aren't allowed to eat red meat on Fridays (read meat is like beef, chicken, pork, etc. We can eat white meat like fish.)

I tried that as well this year actually, started out in I think December and caved in last week.

Erk. How can you not eat meat? I live on that stuff. Just the scent of brisket makes my mouth water. For dinner after my brother's swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, we went to the County Line. It's this really, really old BBQ place that was around when my mom and dad were my age. It's up on a hill and shielded from view of roads by the trees and brush. So the patio has this expansive view over the hill country and at sunset it's beautiful. And they have AMAZING barbeque. Beef ribs, pork ribs, turkey, chicken legs, chicken thighs, brisket, you name it. We had three leftover containers full of food.
I hate tofu and shrimp.

I hate Tofu as well, also it is easy to not have meat when you have never tried it.

It's very hard to beat me at just dance xP
My brother has found a vet friend that is willing to take me as a volunteer to do things like walk dogs, clean cat cages and such (and maybe work my way up to medicine doses)

@black: YOU'VE NEVER HAD MEAT?!?!? //chokes// //spazzes out// THAT'S LIKE A RABBIT NEVER HAVING A CARROT!
My dad says he might take us (my sister and I) to a shooting range this summer. Really excited, I've always wanted to fire a gun!

@black: YOU'VE NEVER HAD MEAT?!?!? //chokes// //spazzes out// THAT'S LIKE A RABBIT NEVER HAVING A CARROT! Never, my mother used to say that she would try to feed me chicken when I was an enfant and I would always spit it out. She eventually gave up and she has never tried again

So...you've never tried since then? sorry I'm just completely flabbergasted just...huh I use to HATE strawberries when I was a toddler but now I love them. Taste buds change.
//attempts and fails to imagine not knowing what meat tastes like//
I don't wear any shorts, dresses, or skirts that are any higher than just above my knees.
When I was younger and all my brothers still lived at home, we would ride our scooters on the bottom of our pool (in the water).
We also went swimming in the rain if there was little lightning.

I don't try meat for a number of reasons, and does the definition of man include the consumption of meat? I did not think so....

Well I think the definition includes being an omnivore, which includes eating meat.

A member of the species Homo sapiens or all the members of this species collectively, without regard to gender. Who is to say men should be a certain way, some say MLP sucks while others adore it and in this way some men are Omnivores, Herbivores but because they are one does that make them any less of a man then if they where another? (I did not include Carnivore because the chances of someone being able to survive only eating meat is practically none)
Besides what if I just do not like meat? Or perhaps my stomach cannot handle eating it after going without it for so long.
I can go without meat and still like/enjoy stereotypical 'manly' things, besides I live a much healthier life without meat in my diet (provided I get regular amounts of protein by drinking things like protein shakes and having nuts and other edibles). I do not see how not eating meat detracts from ones 'manliness'.

I don't think she was meaning to be rude , it's rare to meet any vegetarian in Texas I'm 14 and I've never met one.Being "the meat state" we react more surprised then someone who was more used to it would.
Most of my friends have joined the American Red Cross fund (for the Texas tornados) us and about 200 others ran the track and each lap you did earned you 5 dollars going to the cause.almost EVERYONE said they were tired going only 3 times around the football field. In 30 minutes there were only 50 of us actually walking and picking up the bottles everyone tossed down.I did 27 most of the group in 2 hours.(that's the equal to 7 miles , everyone just did it to get out of class not even help then just made a messed up the track -.-) I don't know how much I earned but my feet hurt.xp
Like bad Hehe...

Don't get us wrong, Black, we're not making fun of you or anything.
But for things like MLP, hey, that's personality. We're talking about your physical instincts and DNA here. It doesn't matter whether someone is female or male, they are omnivores. Omnivores are meant to eat meat. It's just how our bodies work. The way our stomachs and digestive systems are made is to break down meat and plants alike. Look at our teeth- we have the back molars for grinding, and the front teeth are for tearing; specifically, tearing meat. When we say "manly" we mean more of a physical way rather than personality. But it actually really is just much better for your body to get your nutrients directly. Like is it better to take a vitamin C pill, or to eat an orange? Obviously, to eat an orange. One because it also has a lot of other nutritional value. Two because they're just delicious. Same thing with vitamin D- walk around in the sunlight, or take a pill? While sure, taking a pill isn't bad for your body or anything, it's just much better to get it directly from its source. Meats have a lot more than just proteins. They also have some essential fats and acids (the good kind). But meat also makes your immune system stronger and helps your metabolism to digest faster.
