My parents are generally okay as long as we respect the ratings. Obviously they won't let a 12 year old play M games. However, that didn't stop us from watching our older siblings play it xD They're okay as long as they games aren't really gruesome. My dad doesn't like us playing the more violent games, but he lets us. My family doesn't swear, so they don't have to worry about cussing. Like Pip, as long as there isn't porn it's fine. Our parents are really trusting. We're kind of sensitive to bad stuff, so they let us play whatever we want. They trust that if it's not appropriate then we'll stop playing it, and we will. Like my mom trusts me on the computer, doesn't check my history or anything or make me use the comp in a public space because she knows me and trusts me to keep things appropriate. And she is right to, because the only thing in my history is here, the forums, Chickensmoothie, and tumblr. shadow: Wait until you get to Ezio (AC 2). His story is really sad. Sims 3 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 remain to be my favorite games. RT2 has really old graphics, where you can only roates 90 degrees, but there is something appealing about that.

We could use this topic for the revival of the political discussion thread (though it is not that political), though the argument is senseless and made with no knowledge on the subject what so ever it will still be a good conversation starter. (I faintly recall looking at that topic in the thread before, but if so we can easily do it again)

The problem is it is a lot more then that and someone who did even the smallest amount of research would know that. You have to be messed up in the first place to have thoughts about shooting up a place, and it falls to the persons family or someone to make sure they don't do things like that. I will use Call of Duty: Black Ops II as an example, more then 7,5 million copies sold on launch day (500 million dollars, by day 15 they had sold a billion worth. It still boggles my mind how such an undeserving game could sell so well) out of all those kids who live regular lives and would never dream of shooting up schools, one or two kids do it and the media goes wild and blames the games. There is a lot more there (What comes to mind is blaming Marilyn Manson for the Columbine Shooting, equally if not more ridiculous.) something the family should have caught (I feel the family of a person is more accountable then the games).

Is it surprising that I don't even know any characters from black oops or really any shooter game? Would play a gun game if I could, left four dead two has my eye ( watched my brother play it when I was 9-8 but when it was at a cut Sean and one of the dudes was like "zombies make the world a b" and younger me went "LIFE'S A B" Like really loud and my brother banned me from watching the game. ) any zombie game for some reason I just have a intention to play. But for now it's a big SOL

Left4Dead is pretty darn fun, I'll admit. I didn't play first-person shooters until my brother got into them. Before then I usually played platforms, simulations of all types, and third-person battle kind things. I was playing Halo online just a while ago with him... We suck at it.

Is the new version like really bloody (im talking major not a" lot) lot of cursing and such? I remember a bit of it but I haven't watched a clip in a long time.I've noticed that some of today's game don't really waste time on the bloody deaths or such (like knife kills)

Europa Universalise III (and in August IV) is a great game. Was made by the same publishers who produced Crusader Kings II (which I have mentioned earlier), this game is a bit older however and the sequel comes out this August. The screenshots on Google Images are not that great but I found a few I like. Shows a province tab (which has things like the main religion in a county, where the county trades and so forth). This is the ruler tab which shows the monarch`s name, there religion, prestige, country, personal unions and relation modifier. I have never actually seen Canada formed but as you can see you can colonize all of the new world. (I once colonized all of the continent of America with the Britain, I also inherited France and took out Ireland and Scotland in war.) In this picture Canada is sharing it`s de jure territory with Holland, Tuscany, The Huron, England and you can see the U.S in view (blue). One picture I saw (Below) Canada was split between Canada and Quebec (which is a province in Canada, most notably the one that forces us to learn French in schools -.-) there also appears to be either Byzantium or England with a county or two along Hudson`s Bay and the U.S. has bitten into de jure Canada a bit (Canada also advances quite far into U.S territory sharing a border with Bohemia). This game is great however if I was going to buy it I would just wait for the sequel this August, besides Paradox`s knack for releasing very buggy games (and patching them into excellence over the following month) it is bound to be great.

Let's see...
1. Civilization V A great game overall, you are a famous leader of a country trying to expand. Several different ways to win, not all of them are defeating everyone else in the world.
2. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Love this game! Don't play it much anymore, but I love that you can ride the rides and have swimming pools and waterslides and zoo exhibits.
3. Guild Wars 2 I've been playing this for a year now and I love it! I'll have to post some screenshots of my character. Great MMORPG without subscription fees.
