I'm a dog person. Cats are okay, but I'm not a cat person at all.
We have a 12 year old Brittany Spaniel we've had since I was a year old. Her names Ginger and she's wonderful.

I'd pick cats alone, but they make my eyes watery and itchy.

Which means he didnt like you.
Most people think cats are loyal pets like dogs, but they aren't. Cats usually only stick around you for easy food and attention. If you feed a stray cat, they keep coming back purely for the food, not you. Pet cats don't stick around just to be loyal, like dogs. The thing that irritates me the most is when someone's cat leaves and doesn't come back, and then they say they left to become a wild cat. Pfft. No, of course not. Tamed cats don't last long in he wild. A hawk or fox probably ate them, yum yum!

What? It probably made the predators day!
Cats aren't loyal pets. True fact, there's a reason why dogs are called "Mans best friend" and cats aren't.

Cats can be loyal; depends on the cat.
I picked cats; I've never had a dog, though I do like dogs and feel bad because I like cats better, it's just that I've been around cats more than dogs and I've always been very interested in them, learning about them, etc. ^_^

Yes, I agree that cats are very interesting and fun to be around. That I can't deny (which is why I play warrior cats with my friends ) But I really am serious abut cats aren't loyal to humans. Maybe to other cats, but they only see humans as a way of attention and food and shelter, not loving owners that the cat will stick around just because it's loyal.

Cats do not have to be loyal to humans, it is a foolish thing to do. (Trust someone that much)
Anyway my cat Varmy chased a squirrel once and he got lost, he came back after a day but that was a very scary time considering he is an indoor cat and has been for 18 years. Also when you say in general cats are not loyal (still foolish) that is not entirely true, have you read the book about cats (among other animals) being able to find there owners if they have moved over create distances and still chase after them even if they where abandoned. (Also i have seen cats mourn over their owners death even if they are taken care of by next of kin and are completely content with their new life.)

well my cat HATED ME Where you young? Cats hate it when younger people are roudy and only want to hold them. Also you have to let the cat get close to you and see if you are not a threat.
