So, Inside my Warrior Cats game one of my helpers has made some awesome cat pelt colors but I don't know how to put them into the game... I use RPG Maker VX. Anyone know how to put the colored sprites in-game?

I have RPG Maker XP, they're pretty similar. So, you're making a Warrior Game and you made your own pelt color for a cat character? (Just making sure) If you are: click the material button (It's the folder-shaped button on the RPG toolbar. On XP, it's in-between the Database button and Script editor) A pop-up window should appear. Click the folder that says "Graphics/Characters". To the right of the pop-up should be a button that says "import". Click it. Now find your cat character you made with the colored pelt. Then say "open". If you want to make a computer-character, make a new event. Click the "Graphic" box. A pop-up will come up. The cat character you made should be at the top of the list, with a red mark next to it. Click it. There you go! If you want to make an actor (player) with the home-made character . . .: Now go to "Database" and go to "Actors". Pick whichever character you want it to have. Now click the "Character Graphic" box. A list should come up. The cat character you made should be on the top of the list. Click it. There you go! Hope I helped. If something's not where/how I said it should be, that's because I have RPG Maker XP and not VX.

:< It didn't work, it only shows a little tiny bit such as the cats eye, tip of ear, and tail tip.

Oh! That's because you've made the graphic way too big. Here, paste your cat graphic onto the Paint program or something. Now, the entire thing has to be 128x128 pixels. No bigger. Each individual cat square should be 32x32 each. Like so: This is one of my cat graphics: This is how big it should be.

Maybe you should look up a specific guide for RPG maker VX because even though they are similiar one change could mess up the whole process (change it)

Memmy: Could you take a screen-shot for me? To take a screen shot, press the Prt Sc button on your keyboard. Paste it into a Paint program and upload it here.

I think i know the problem since i use vx ace and i think its pretty similar. So export the graphic with all the animals on it, recolor or whatever with the sprite, put it in the spot where you took it from(there should be other animals on the sprite sheet with the cat. ) when your down doing whatever, put it back on the sprite sheet with all the other animals, cause if you keep it separate from other animals it won't work...its confusing.....

Are you talking about the character spritesets for the characters walking around on the map? If you are, the game just divides it into thirds horizontally and fourths verticaly and each little "square" is one position for the cat. So you actually need 12 different positions, arranged in 3 columns of 4 each. Once you have all those (provided each one is equal size) you can import them all as one and the problem will disappear since you now have a 3x4 spriteset. Am I being clear enough? XD

I know what to do, you have to have it with other sprites, like I'm not quite sure how to explain it...but.....
