I've beaten the second one, it's easier than the first, I defeated Hawkfrost at level 48. The only things about the second game that really challenged me was hunting in the lake territory, and dealing with the fact that you had to battle at least 4 cats just to get to the next gathering.
The First one is a lot different. It kind of gets you annoyed a lot, what with training into the mid-late 20's to beat the fourth boss(brokenstar), receiving summaries of most of the gatherings rather than actually going to fourtrees, a couple gatherings that happened in the books not even being refrenced in the game, and of course, the final boss, Scourge, is much harder than Hawkfrost. I'm currently in the process of training up to Level 61 to get Warrior Destruction, and the fact that a level that high is needed pre-poststory is kind of odd. You can beat the boss battle preceding scourge(the warriors that fight you after you rescue the Tigerclan prisoners) very easily by just being at level 47, and then you have to train up a total of 14 levels for the next fight. No other time in the game really asks you do that, and especially considering how it takes over 10,000 exp to gain a level at the point I'm at.

Well of course scourge is harder than hawkfrost, hawkfrost is a wimp compared to him. Also scourge is not the hardest battle in game so you will need very high levels (80-90+) in order to beat him and also he cannot include every slightest detail into the game can he? That would take ages and would not fit a game as sometimes the story needs to be cut/refined a bit to make it more flowing so there are always exciting part around the corner (imagine sitting at gatherings after every boss battle or so added onto the training not fun right?).

Yeah, I think I made the bosses a little too easy in NP. I intended for Hawkfrost to be a easier than Scourge, because as blackbolt said, he is a wimp compared to Scourge, but looking back on it I think I kinda made him a pushover tbh....although deep within the NP game subquests there is a boss even harder than the one blackbolt alluded to. That's all I'll say about that! ^.^
