Hello Everybody! Troubled Spar7an here to introduce myself (It feels so weird actually typing out my mini-intro). So from a standpoint of this thread, I never truely introduced myself, I just suddenly appeared out-of-the-blue making some guides on PO3, and helping other people on the matter, so here is a little backstory to start us off.
So I was originally introduced to this game (series), it was by Pipilup10038's youtube series on the game. This was the first community made game (a.k.a. other than New Prophecy game, Hunting game, DnD spin-off, and some other quiz-type games on the official Harper Collins website), other community made games would include Warrior cats Untold Tales (Made with Gamemaker), a bunch of Roblox servers, and another weird one that I forget the name of, once my internet is working well, I'll try to get you the link... So, from there I took of on the first, then second game, using Pipulup's guide for the first one and some other walk through guide for the second one. After doing some of the subquests in the New Prophecy series, I decided to give a Let's Play/walkthrough hybrid a try. So I started making videos of the first game, and they didn't have much response, I did about five episodes, and then stopped for a while, and then did a few more episodes then hit a long grind, and then I just stopped there. About a year later, I suddenly get one of those e-mails youtube sends you every other week showing some of your subscription's videos and suddenly I saw Foxfire's episode of Power of Three walk through, the one titled "I can't find the lake!" I instantly was like "what?" so I went to the main website and downloaded the game as soon as I could. I played it for about 30 minutes and then decided to kick-start my series up again with Power of Three, and I knew it was going to be more successful, simply because I knew that everyone is going to be looking for walk through/Let's Play episodes. I decided to make this a Let's Play rather than a walkthrough for 3 reasons, 1 being that if I ever got too stuck, I could use Sony to back me up, and 2 being the fact that there isn't exactly resources I could use to do a walk through, so if I would have to play the segment, take notes of triggers, then redo them while recording. 3 is that I could use Mind Walk to help me out (which I later discover the move doesn't actually fit the desc. and it doesn't help at all when you don't know what to do). So off I went with the first few episodes, at first planning to do two videos a week but it quickly became apparent that grinding isn't so often in this game, plus I liked playing it, so by day three I had enough footage for the next 10 episodes, so I changed my schedule to daily. After about five episodes in my new series I descovered this website. At first a few things I see in it is: Some people needing help with PO3 + a common Chat box that travels across all subsections of the website = Idea. So I advertised my Youtube series in the chat box every few days, and within a week my views per day went from 15 to about 70, almost 5x the views! So that instantly made me want to do more videos. I also participated on the forums, helping out people and making a few PO3 guides (PO3, common places people get stuck, and Which recruit cat is best for you). For the last month to month-and-a-half, I haven't been advertising my youtube series in the chat box, only bringing it up when helping someone, I usually try to link the video that I did it in. Recently I saw someone in the chat box complaining how little guides there are for PO3, so I decided to make this post to passively have my youtube series up there, and it's not like Foxfire and Pipulup haven't done the same exact thing. (In case you clicked on this hoping for the backstory to be about why my screen-name is Troubled Spar7an, in short, while signing up for Xbox Live (back when I actually did Xbox live), I didn't really know what to do for my screen-name, and my brother recommended Troubled Spartan, because at the time I was into Halo Reach, so I typed that in, and it was taken, but in the recommended names, it was there, Troubled Spar7an).
Anyways, currently as of August 29th, I am having multiple problems with my youtube series, one being school's starting, so I have to keep up with that, and at the same time my internet is being really annoying and the next episode that is only about 30 minutes in length, took the entire day to upload (seriously, from 8:00 am to about 7:30 pm it was uploading, not even rendering, only uploading), all because my internet is being really wishy-washy and keeps on connecting with a weak signal and then disconnecting, and then reconnecting... And, yeah, and currently as I am writing in notepad, it is sitting on private setting because I don't have the internet access to make it public. Anyways with the two combined, I think I am going to switch back to two uploads a week, Tuesdays and Fridays (See, there was a reason I have this and the backstory in the same post).
