Pink Flowers at Top of Twolegplace Maze?

Why are the pink flowers at the top of the Twolegplace Maze there? They're not used for anything, not even subquests. When you walk into them, it just says, "A path between two flowers! Amazing!"

I know there are two pink flowers that are used to exit the maze for real, but I'm talking about the flowers to the far right of those.
