It is horrifying. Though I always wondered why, as Goosefeather put it, “fire must burn without bonds”. It makes you wonder if StarClan was somehow indirectly responsible for Snowfur’s death.

I was annoyed that Starclan couldn't do anything about Bluestar's kits. If it wasn't for that stupid prophecy (and Thistleclaw) Mosskit would probably still be alive.

I was actually impressed with this particular book. The way the authors handled it overall was fine with me - because I know Bluestar's past was a delicately woven tale with many points to it that could make or break the story if they were left out or forgotten. I haven't read the book in awhile so I'm probably forgetting some of my gripes with it, but otherwise it was fine. ^_-

Flamepelt your'e Christian? I wondered if there were Christians on here...(Psst I'm Christian too) My parents don't really like me reading about cats worshiping stars but if it doesn't get to my head(too much) they let me. Although I read books that is about like the Old Ones(evil) and ancient magic(books are called The Gatekeepers...) Anyone read Crookedstar's Promise? It shows a scene where thistleclaw tries to teach him killing bite...evil thistleclaw. And 'cause of you Tigerclaw was evil.

I think Crookedstar's promise was the best book of the series to date, maybe it was because i had not read the books for so long and this particular book was very well written.

I have to agree with Blackbolt. I liked Bluestar's Prophecy, but Crookedstar's Promise was much better in my opinion.
(and snowlight Kestrelpaw is also Christian)

And the warrior cats don’t see StarClan as god-figures anyway. They are aware that StarClan is powerful because they can glimpse destinies, and because they can help the clans in that way, and because sometimes they can change natural events (i.e. clouds), but in that way the see them as more of a guiding force. Sometimes they forget the limits of StarClan’s power, which can lead to some giving StarClan a feel of limitless power which is why Bluestar got so upset with StarClan because she thought they should have been able to stop the fire. Mainly though, they see them as cats who have gained a lifetime of experience and that have enough power that they can help by succinctly guiding. In a way it’s sort of like the ancient chinese system, they worshipped their ancestors because they could help them (and also because they might get angry, but thats off topic). But you’ve also got to remember that there are cats that do not believe in StarClan (Mothwing and Cloudtail, and probably more in the whole history of the clans), and cats who have other ancestors (the tribe and maybe the ancients), and also a continued questioning of the limits StarClan can or will go to, so any religious parents shouldn’t really worry, because the books show such a range of thought.

I am Catholic and I don't see the big deal.... :\ Protestants, I guess...anyways, it's like the Percy Jackson books. Some people won't let their kids read it because it's about Greek Gods being real, even though the author doesn't believe in them. it's just suppose to be a fun book, not trying to warp your mind into believing that they exist! It's just like Harry Potter, the stuff people come up with for dirt on that book, sheesh....
I think the whole thing about the authors beleiving in the stars is actually just a rumor going around, I don't think it's true at all.
